Snowflake Data Engineer
Your Responsibilities
- Hands-on development and optimization of the data backend, ensuring stability, performance, and architectural consistency
- Build and optimize Snowflake data models and workloads (raw → curated → data products), with strong focus on performance and cost efficiency
- Develop and maintain transformation logic in dbt (modeling, refactoring, tests, documentation, macros) to ensure data quality and scalability
- Orchestrate reliable data pipelines using Airflow/Astronomer (DAG design, dependencies, retries, monitoring/alerting) for production readiness
- Use Git + CI/CD to enforce code quality and enable automated testing and deployments across the data platform
- Work with IT and business colleagues to develop solutions to specific problems that at times leverage existing solutions and systems
- Build professional relationships with clients, management, and team members to ensure the delivery of proposed solutions
Your Profile
- Minimum 3 years relevant experience
- Proven experience in enterprise-scale analytics platforms
- Able to work independently, understand architectural constraints, and take ownership
- Show strong customer orientation for both internal and external stakeholders, with a proactive and solution-oriented attitude
- Strong interest in AI-driven tools and the ability to leverage them in daily work
- Speak fluent business English; knowledge of German is a plus
- Enjoy occasional travel to the customers
